  1.                  THIRD DIMENSION DISK MAGAZINE

  3. The kit 1 OUR-TOWN.KIT datafile which can also be used in kit 2
  4. is a new idea to bring a multi format/multi-game idea to your 
  5. computer that everyone can join in with its creation.You can add
  6. as little or as much as you wish.You can add a bit one month then
  7. update or alter it the next month(s). More details below.
  8.  
  9. The town now has a new border control panel and there are two 
  10. text instruments that you can use to explain about things if 
  11. you decide to contribute. 
  12.  
  13. Here is a list of the places to visit in OUR-TOWN
  14.  
  15. THE GHOST TRAIN
  16. This datafile has a brilliant new ghost train to ride.
  17. This was created by Peter Ward.Simply enter the ride,climb 
  18. onto the train,look forward at the doors and move backwards 
  19. into your seat to start the ride.
  20.  
  21. THE CASTLE
  22. This sees you entering the castle maze.Try to take the star
  23. that is hidden somewhere inside.It is the only way to escape!
  24. Watch out for invisible walls!

  27. THE HOUSE
  28. The first building built in Our-Town of a compact house interior 
  29. to have a look at.Watch out for the animated little mouse!

  32. THE CHURCH
  33. Newly opened this month and created by Anthony Appleyard who has 
  34. created a new exciting game which you should find as you exit the 
  35. church.

  37. THE TOWER BLOCK
  38. Still not open yet.Pehaps next month!

  40. THE TUNNEL
  41. Placed there for access to another area of OURTOWN.In this new area
  42. you will find yet more buildings to visit and explore.

  44. THE CHILDREN'S PLAYHOUSE
  45. Created by Mieke. An exciting playground for all children in our town 
  46. where they can play lots of different games.
  47. The first area (a playgarden) is already open!.
  48. I have also added two more areas to the Children's Playhouse. They are 
  49. both accessible from within the Playgarden.The first area is a Surprise 
  50. Maze and the second one is a Hallway to other areas, which I hope to 
  51. create in due time.

  53. THE GREY BUILDING
  54. Created by Robin Ball.Explore the building by jumping over the 
  55. grey wall and shooting the door.Then solve the puzzles.

  57. Our Town Concept.

  59. Please add your new buildings to the new area that is accessed by 
  60. entering the tunnel as the first area is now full!
  61.      The idea is simple! If you look at the area,you should see a 
  62. few black coloured ( on the Atari/Amiga ) rectangles on the floor.
  63. These are building plots and everyone who wants to join in can 
  64. use one of the plots to create a haunted house/building,castle 
  65. etc.You can only use about 12 objects to create your building but 
  66. once you get inside the building ( using a new area ),you can 
  67. use as many objects/areas as you wish.Once inside you can create 
  68. a maze game,a haunted house,a murder mystery game or anything 
  69. else that you wish.You could even create the house which you 
  70. live in and then just create your rooms inside the house so that 
  71. everyone else can have a nosey around.The choice is yours.It is 
  72. recommended that you don't use sensors as these cause problems
  73. for other computer formats.

  75.      If a few members join in then we should end up with an area 
  76. with different buildings in it and each one will have a different 
  77. game idea attached to it when you enter the building.

  79.      All you have to do is to create your building in the area 
  80. provided and add any new areas that you use in the game then send 
  81. it in to me and i will sort out the rest....Tony
